The government of Mauritius and the government of Australia will sign a Bilateral Air Services Agreement on February 4, 2016.
Air traffic Provision for the fifth freedom traffic rights
The agreement provides, inter alia, for multiple designation of airlines and designated airlines of each country being entitled to operate up to seven weekly frequencies on the Mauritius/Australia route to/from Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
It also makes provision for the fifth freedom traffic rights for the designated airlines of both countries at certain points. ■
