The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has pledged to continue providing Vietnam $3.67 billion in loans for 2015-2017 period, equivalent to the level of previous years.
Help Governor and ADB president announced
In 2014, ADB plans to grant Vietnam some $1.37 billion in loans and the figure is expected to stay at $1.24 billion in 2015, the State Bank of Vietnam said on its website.
Speaking at the meeting, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Van Binh exchanged views with ADB president over Vietnam's economic development as well as measures taken by Vietnamese government on curbing inflation, stabilizing macro-economy, maintaining growth and securing social security.
ADB President Takehiko Nakao is on a three-day visit to Vietnam starting from Thursday to attend the Fifth Asian Development Forum to be held in Hanoi on Friday. ■
