Wonderland Festival: See the show or be the show!Nalynn Dolan Caine ▼ | November 14, 2019
Brisbane’s sultry summer nights reveal a spectacle of the weird and wonderful as Wonderland Festival erupts at Brisbane Powerhouse for nine nights of decadence and debauchery from 21 November to 1 December 2019.
Australia Weird, wild, wonderful
The 2019 Wonderland program promises to be the best one yet, bringing to the stage home-grown favourites, interstate recruits and international sensations.
Master of falsetto and stiletto, Leather Lungs (Jason Chasland), will bring his unholy energy to audiences, promising a wild visual and vocal ride.
Electric Moon will enchant with Fire Walk With Us, reimagining the songs and musical stylings of the iconic Twin Peaks.
Bombshell Burlesque will embrace inner indulgences, stripping deep into the dreams (or nightmares) of spectators.
There will also be acts that defy physical capability with the return of Head First Acrobats, plus thought-provoking puzzlement delivered by Matt Tarrant in his show Unsolved and Christopher Wayne’s Fully Clothed.
Following the success of last year’s Two Man Tarantino, the audience will again be invited to play cast with the new stage show Die Hard the Movie the Play.
Continuing on from Adelaide Fringe 2019, Isaac Lomman is bringing his extremely popular show Hypnosis [Live] back for 3 more shows. The show is based on audience participation and volunteers from the audience become the stars of the show. This family friendly show for those aged 8-80+ from all walks of life, is clean fun for all to enjoy.
Dubbed “an uninhibited celebration of woman”, Baby Got Back are fast becoming 5-star fringe circuit favourites. A show of flesh, sex, profanity and comedy chaos, this all-girl cast will take you on an exploration of the female form in all her glory.
With a line-up of 30 spectacular events, check out the most talented performers for a unique end-of-year carnival of comedy, burlesque, circus, music, magic and more at this year's Wonderland Festival. ■
