Jazz in the Garden in Washington DC
America   A beloved DC summer tradition

Kick back and groove to the music with sangria in hand at Jazz in the Washington, DC Garden on Fridays throughout the summer, starting May 17.

An eclectic mix of DC area jazz musicians lend a soundtrack to one of the city’s most idyllic scenes set around the sculpture garden’s central fountain.

Every Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. through August 23, 2019, the National Gallery of Art's Jazz invites visitors to spend an evening among the Sculpture Garden's monumental works of art while listening to the great music.

The concerts feature locally and nationally acclaimed musicians performing a wide variety of musical genres—African fusion, go go, Brazilian bluegrass, Dixieland, Czech jazz, Steel Pan Caribbean jazz, blues fusion, Brazilian jazz, soul, and more.

You may purchase food and beverages from the Pavilion Café and its carts located around the Garden or bring your own picnic.

The Pavilion Café offers appetizers, sandwiches, pizzas, and salads indoors, while an outdoor grill provides barbecue pork sandwiches, jerk chicken sandwiches, and Italian sausages.

New menu additions include a teriyaki Impossible burger with pineapple chutney or banh mi turkey burger with ginger soy aioli and Asian slaw. A variety of beverages, including beer, wine, sangria, and soda, are sold onsite.

Dates: Every Friday, May 17 - August 23, 2019, weather permitting
Time: 5 to 8:30 p.m.
Admission is free
