Enter a magical world of sparkling lights and holiday cheer at VanDusen Botanical Garden’s Festival of Lights!

The festival also includes a breathtaking display on Livingstone Lake every 20 minutes, where lights dance to classic, disco, and soul music sets.
A carousel ride - which is open to people of all ages - is included for free. In addition, families, kids, and couples alike can take photos with Santa in the Visitor Centre halls until December 24th for free.
Guests are invited to gather around fire pits and warm up with specialty holiday beverages in the Fireside Lounge. They are also encouraged to make a donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation, and make a wish while lighting a candle in the magical Make-A-Wish Candle grotto.
In addition to activities, the festival also offers a plethora of delicious foods and drink. This year there will also be a dozen or so indoor and outdoor artisan craft stalls, curated by Portobello West. These will operate from December 16 to 20 (4:30pm to 9pm) and December 21 to 23 (4:30pm to 10pm).
VanDusen Botanical Garden’s Festival of Lights runs from Saturday, November 30, to Sunday, January 5, 2020, but closes on Christmas Day.
Ticket prices vary from $19 online and $21 at the gate for adults (ages 19–64) to $11.50 and $13.75 respectively for kids (ages 4–12).
Kids ages 3 and under enjoy free entry.
For parties of 25 adults and more the Gardens offer a group discount.
On premium nights the price rises a few dollars. Premium nights are December 7, 8, 14, 15, and 21 to 29. ■
