Pennsylvania housing market continues upward trend

Existing home sales are up more than 7 percent year-to-date, compared to the same time last year, according to the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors.
Housing   Inventory fell 18.6 percent in Pennsylvania
The median sales price continued to gain traction in the third quarter. The median sales price is $179,854, up 2.8 percent compared to the third quarter of 2015.

Days on market dropped to 68 days from 72 in the third quarter, compared to the same period in 2015.

The challenge in many markets continues to be inventory. New listings fell by 3.4 percent over the first three quarters this year, compared to the same time last year.

Inventory fell 18.6 percent in the third quarter of 2016, compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
