New York jobGovernor Andrew M. Cuomo announced eight job fairs taking place in six regions across the state this week.

The events will be held in Central New York, Long Island, Mid-Hudson Valley, New York City, Southern Tier and Western New York. In 2012 and 2013, these recruitment events put on by the Department of Labor (DOL) helped 600 businesses target and hire nearly 33,000 individuals.

"As more businesses are creating jobs across the state, we want to connect job-seeking New Yorkers with employers looking to hire," Governor Cuomo said. "These career fairs have helped us capitalize on positive economic growth and a better business climate. I encourage all New Yorkers looking for a job to inquire at the next career fair being held in their region."
