“This year we plan to put 51 kilometres and 21-24 stations into service,” noted Khusnullin. He added that the Salaryevo-Stolbovo section may also be opened. The Deputy Mayor stressed that never had so many metro stations been opened in Moscow in such a short time.

The plans for next year include work on the Kosino-Nizhegorodskaya Ulitsa section on the Kozhukhovskaya Line and on Nizhegorodskaya-Aviamotornaya section of the Big Circle Line.

Current work on the southeast section – from Kakhovskaya to Nizhegorodskaya stations – includes preparing the grounds, relocating utility lines, and designing projects. Near Ulitsa Novatorov station, preparations are under way to start the section toward Kommunarka station and of the line toward Biryulyovo station.

In 2020, a large section of the line will be put into service. There plans to join Kozhukhovskaya Line with Nizhnyaya Maslovka station.

Marat Khusnullin highlighted that work on the Big Circle Line had been going energetically and that by 2021 it would be complete.
