Innovation helps drive economic growth, and according to WalletHub, some states are better at it than others.
America Massachusetts scored highly in several key categories
Massachusetts scored highly in several key categories, such as tying for first in R&D spending per capita and ranking fourth for share of STEM professionals and projected STEM job demand by 2020.
It was followed in the overall innovation rankings by Washington state, the District of Columbia, Maryland and Colorado.
The least innovative state is Mississippi, followed by Louisiana, West Virginia, Iowa and Tennessee, according to the study. ■
