"I believe these two projects will change the makeup of the traffic map in the State of Kuwait," Mr. Al-Ibrahim told reporters while visiting the two projects. He added that Jahra road overhaul project will increase the number of lanes from two to up to 12 lanes in each direction.

"The road is designed to secure smoother and efficient traffic flow for the coming 25 years. The work is in full swing," said Mr. Al-Ibrahim, who expects the project to be completed as scheduled on September 2015.

The Jahra Road Development Project comprises five phases: Phase one from Jahra Road to Airport Road; Phase two, from United Nations Roundabout to Hospital Road (Al Sabbah Medical District); Phase three, from Hospital Road to Al Ghazali Road; Phase four from Ghazali Road to Airport Road; and Phase five, Al Ghazali Road Interchange.
