The head of Secretaria de Desarrollo Económico (Sedeco) in the entity, Ernesto Sánchez Proal, stated that previously the state will develop a supply chain focused on electric mobility.

"We want to develop a robust supply chain of the electric automotive industry in the state of Jalisco, we are no longer interested in internal combustion projects," he said.

Sedeco made available $524,130 for micro, small and medium local enterprises which are suppliers of electric motors, lithium batteries and other special supplies for the sector.

With the objective of supporting these local enterprises, SEDECO will allocate $5 million for the support of productive projects of which $ 2.5 million will be delivered through convocations and the remaining will be granted by resolution of the technical committee of the Jalisco Competitive program.

The support, said the head of the Sedeco, is focused on increasing and diversifying exports, strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises, replacing imports, promoting a balanced regional development and creating new companies.
