Iran's electricity swap exceeds 1.5 GW in one day

Iran's electricity exchange with the neighboring states in one day amounted to 1,532 megawatts (MW), the Energy Ministry announced.

Iran exported 1,359 MW of electricity to Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Armenia and Turkey on Friday, while it imported 173 MW from Armenia and Turkmenistan on the same day. Therefore, Iran’s electricity exchange balance reached plus 1,186 megawatts.

Iran is currently swapping electricity with Armenia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iraq and Afghanistan.
