The list now contains eight jurisdictions, and North Macedonia was included on the Grey List after that country complied with all its commitments in terms of tax cooperation.

In a statement, the EU Council explained that Belize approved the necessary reforms to improve its tax system and make it applicable to all international mercantile societies.

The bloc added that Belize is now on the Grey List, until it complies with its commitment to modify or revoke the harmful elements in its exemption regime on foreign incomes by the end of this year.

The EU blacklist is made up of Fiji, US Virgin Islands, Oman, Samoa, American Samoa, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vanuatu.
