The situation created for the regional importer-exporter traffic by the Costa Rican authorities is very difficult, Ortega said Monday on national broadcast.

Of those trucks, about 924 trucks are located in the section connecting the Peñas Blancas border post with the southern city of Rivas, main city of the homonymous department, the president said.

Not only Nicaragua closed the Customs to avoid the passage, but also Costa Rica has closed that passage with the measures taken, mainly Sunday and Monday, Daniel Ortega emphasized.

We want to call on the government of Costa Rica to work as quickly as possible as of the agreements signed on Sunday (during the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Central American Integration System), Ortega concluded his speech on occasion of the 125th anniversary of the birth of national hero Augusto Cesar Sandino.
