Berlin airports strike leads to 660 flights being canceled

Strikes at Berlin''s two airports, Berlin-Tegel and Berlin-Schönefeld, caused 660 flights to be canceled.
Air travel   2,000 workers were called on strike
For the strike 2,000 workers were called in by the Ver.di trade union with the main demand being the increase in payment from 11 to 12 euros per hour.

The trade union informed that the strike will continue until this Wednesday.

"At Berlin Schoenefeld, 195 flights were canceled and at Berlin Tegel 465 flights," and this amounted to almost all flights being canceled.

Also last Febrary, another strike carried out by the ground staff hit more than one hundred flights and connections at the German capital.
