Baden-Wuerttemberg is governed by a coalition of the green party (Gruene) and the Christian Democratic Union (CDU).
While the CDU accepts the court verdict, green governor Winfried Kretschmann is pushing for a new assessment thereof which takes into account recently-agreed upon official measures to lower emissions levels. ■
