Argentina has highest gas consumption per capita in South America

The consumption of natural gas per capita in Argentina is the highest in the region, reachin 1.006 m3, almost three times of that registered in Chile and eight times in Brazil.

If compared, it should be considered that Argentina, Venezuela and Bolivia are producer countries, while most of the remaining countries of this list have a different energy matrix.

Argentina also imports gas because its domestic consumption is far above the national production, due to an energy matrix that has turned this fuel into the greatest source to supply its energy needs.
