Trump's travel to Mar-a-Lago, his luxurious private club in Palm Beach, Fla., cost more than $20 million during his first 80 days as president, according to an analysis by CNN.

At that rate, Trump’s trips to Mar-a-Lago alone would cost over $800 million in public funds if he remains in office for two terms.

This puts him "on pace in his first year in office to surpass President Barack Obama's spending on travel for his entire eight years," according to CNN.

The president has traveled to golf courses he owns 10 times since taking office two months ago.

CNN found that President Trump has spent six weekends and a total of 21 days so far at Mar-a-Lago with a total estimated cost of $21.6 million.

At this rate, his travel could cost more than $100 million during his first year.

Obama spent nearly $97 million on travel during his eight years as president, including vacations to Hawaii and many work trips, CNN found.
