"Polish farmers started a strike in front of the Dorohusk-Yagodin crossing point on the Polish side today [June 9]. Hence, the Polish side is not clearing trucks from Ukraine for passage for the time being," Ukrainian media quoted the Border Service's statement on its website on Friday.

Only vehicles carrying humanitarian cargo would be allowed to enter Ukraine from Poland at that point. Buses are crossing the border in both directions, as usual.

"The demonstration will tentatively continue until 1:00 a.m. on June 13," it said.
