Many passengers travelling with easyJet will either have to find alternative travel or stay wherever they currently are.

Some other airlines have been affected too, but easyJet has seen the most cancelled flights at this point.

A spokeswoman for easyJet confirmed 234 flights have been cancelled across the country so far on Saturday, affecting around 40,000 people.

It has been reported that 62 flights from Gatwick on Sunday have already been cancelled.

The cancelled flights were meant to be heading to destinations like Geneva, Grenoble, Turin and Salzburg, with many passengers being families off for a week of skiing during half term.
