Serbia closes airports for flights from coronavirus hit countries

Serbia's civil aviation regulator has banned all flights from countries most affected by the coronavirus epidemic at Serbian airports, it said.

The decision applies to flights from Italy, China, South Korea, Iran and Switzerland, the civil aviation directorate said in a statement two days ago.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Serbian government closed its borders for people coming from Italy, some provinces of China, South Korea, Iran, and parts of Switzerland.

Serbia has so far confirmed 12 cases of the coronavirus infection, including a Chinese citizen living in the country as well as three Serbian nationals who were in contact with a person from Switzerland.
