Quarter tonne of cocaine between bananas found in Spain

Estepona is a town and municipality in the comarca of the Costa del Sol, southern Spain.

It is located in the province of Málaga.

As reported on englishradionews.com, officials from the Policia Nacional have detained six people there, in connection with a drug trafficking operation, which brought cocaine from Central America to Spain hidden between bananas.

Officers discovered the gang operating in Estepona, and launched an investigation into the operation.

Over a quarter of a tonne of cocaine was discovered in raids, with six people being remanded in custody ahead of their trial.
