On Saturday, police officials seized more than 2.3 tonnes of fruit found stored in a wholesale market in Nicosia, believed to have been smuggled from the occupied areas.
Police officers raided the business at around 3am and found 2,343 kg of fruit: tomatoes, apples, nectarines, peaches, and plums. Cyprus-mail.com reports that the produce was seized and investigations are ongoing. ■
