Pollution   20 tons of heavy oil leaked into water

Oil leak occurred at night November 2 during loading operation of tanker ACS 38 at Ko Sichang Oil Terminal, Sri Racha, Gulf of Thailand.

Hose or pipe busted, some 20 tons of heavy oil leaked into water, leak said to cover some 10000 sq meters of sea near Ko Sichang island.

Anti-pollution operation was launched with deployment of all relevant agencies. Understood accident wasn’t tanker’s fault.
