"Yan po ay napagkasunduan namin kanina sa meeting ng mga airlines at lahat ng stakeholders," Monreal said in an interview with DZMM Teleradyo.

Monreal said all flights to and from NAIA within the said period are effectively cancelled.

He said airlines also advised him that they will evacuate their aircraft from NAIA Tuesday morning.

Monreal said authorities have also advised airlines that have planes scheduled to arrive at NAIA Tuesday morning to hold the planes at their points of departure.

Airlines earlier announced they were canceling several flights on Tuesday due to Tisoy.
