Daily Trust reports that the seizure was made by the Kano/Jigawa Command of the Nigerian Customs Service.

The controller of the command, Comptroller Nasir Ahmed, described the method adopted by smugglers to conceal goods as challenging to detect.

He raised the concern that such a method could be replicated in the smuggling any form of contra bound ranging from drugs, arms, and ammunition or any other prohibited goods because it will be very difficult to uncover.
