The move came in a recent review by Kenyan authorities regarding countries, now 147, whose residents are exempted from a 14 day coronavirus mandatory quarantine upon arrival.

Among African countries included on the list are Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gambia, and Sierra Leone.

Tanzanian aviation authorities banned three Kenyan airlines from flying there in late August in retaliation for Kenya subjecting Tanzanian passengers to the 14-day quarantine.

Kenya accused Tanzania of hiding its coronavirus statistics, a claim Tanzania denied.
