Explosion in Indian solar plant kills one, injures two

An explosion at Talettutayi Solar Projects in Chatgaon, Maharashtra Province in Central India, killed an engineer and left two technicians with serious burns, according to the Times of India.

Police said that large batteries installed at the site could have exploded.

The casualties were members of a repair team that had been sent to the site after a breakdown.

An investigation by local police, assisted by the state electricity department, is under way to determine the exact cause of the blast.
