Flagship state daily Al-Ahram reported that a fire broke out after a fuel tank exploded at an oil-pumping warehouse in the Shubra al-Kheima district of the Qalioubiya province near Cairo.

The fire left one person dead and another three injured, according to Al-Ahram.

Firemen reportedly rushed to the scene of the blaze where they eventually managed to contain the fire, while the authorities have since launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blast.
