The death toll in an earthquake occurred in the Iranian western province has risen to 521, Legal Medicine Organization of Iran's Kermanshah Province said.

Director General of the organization Artin Kamali said that, according to the latest data on the death toll of the earthquake, most of those who died in the disaster (460) were from Sar Pol-e Zahab border city.
"The forensic team that was formed from the early hours of the quake to identify the dead bodies has nearly finished its task," IRNA cited the official as saying.
Two hospitals and more than 200 health clinics in the region were damaged by the quake.
Previous report of the organization had declared the number of victims at 505. ■
