Belarus will be first country to receive Russian coronavirus vaccine

Belarus will be the first country to receive the Russian vaccine against coronavirus, as agreed by the presidents of both countries, Alexandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, an official source reported.

The Belarusian Presidency specified that both presidents had a telephone conversation and discussed in particular the fight with coronavirus.

According to the communiqué, both parties agreed that Belarus will be the first country to receive the Sputnik-V vaccine, in addition to that Belarusian citizens will participate voluntarily in the third phase of immunization tests.

Putin announced recently the official registration of the Russian vaccine against Covid-19, developed by the Gamaleya Institute in Moscow and which has already successfully passed through the first phases of clinical trials.

The head of state assured that the tests carried out so far have shown that Sputnik-V is effective because it allows achieving stable immunity against coronavirus.
