All Americans have their own traditions for celebrating the Fourth of July, but when asked how they will spend this holiday, the most popular festivities are a good old fashioned BBQ at 54%, and watching fireworks at 53%.
While the majority of Americans plan to stay close to home this holiday weekend, summer is still an ideal travel time. When Hankook asked Americans if they will take a road trip at some point this summer, 63% of drivers responded that they will hit the open roads. For those summer road-trippers, 62% said they plan on traveling for 400 miles or more.
The Hankook Tire Gauge Index is a quarterly survey of Americans that uncovers their attitudes and opinions about all things related to driving. ■
