Director General of Health, Noor Hisham Abdullah, said patients of Covid-19 will be treated with Remdesevir, and all side effects and its effectiveness will be controlled.
The WHO announced a great global trial under the name 'Solidarity,' to discover if any medicine can deal with the infection.
The study, which might include thousands of patients in dozens of countries, has been designed to be as simple as possible, so that even hospitals overwhelmed by an avalanche of Covid-19 patients can participate, said Abdullah.
The WHO is centering in what are said to be the four most promising therapies: the experimental antiviral compound Remdesivir, the medicines against malaria Cloroquine and Hidroxicloroquine; a combination of two HIV drugs, Lopinavir and Ritonavir; and the same combination of the two plus Interferon, a stimulant of the immune system. ■
