Mexico reports 4,599 new coronairus cases

The levels of cases to the coronavirus remain very high in Mexico and the country reported one of the worst figures with 4,599 new cases of the virus, according to the Secretariat of Health.

During the usual afternoon press briefing at the National Palace about the development of the pandemic, Dr. Jose Luis Alomia, general director of Epidemiology, indicated that with these new cases, the country reaches 154,863.

This means a contagion rate of 3.1% and an incidence rate of 121.2% per 100,000 inhabitants. Of that total, 21,159 are active patients, 767 cases less than Monday.

However, the numbers of suspects have increased again, totaling 56,834, that is, 626 more than Monday and of which, between 40% and 60% usually test positive for the virus.

As for deaths, the country totals 18,310, including 730 deaths registered on Monday, although it may increase because there are 1,779 deaths that have not yet been classified as coronavirus victims.
