Russia’s gross domestic product grew by 1.4 percent in 2017, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Russian GDP increased 1.4 percent last year," TASS cited Putin as saying.

According to the president, inflation indicators slowed to record values. "Last year, the increase was 2.5% and it continues to slow down this year," Putin added.

Russia's Economy Ministry has said a preliminary estimate shows Russia’s economy expanded by 1.4-1.8% in 2017.
