Poland core CPI falls at faster pace in July

Poland core consumer price index declined at a faster pace in July, figures from the National Bank of Poland showed.

The consumer price index excluding food and energy prices dropped 0.4 percent year-on-year following 0.2 percent decrease in June. In May, the core index declined 0.4 percent.

Compared to the previous month, the core CPI remained unchanged in July after a modest 0.1 percent rise in June.

Economists were looking for an annual gain of 0.1 percent and monthly fall of 0.3 percent for July.
