Poland's core consumer price index, which excludes food and energy prices, declined at a stable pace in August, data from the National Bank of Poland showed.

On a month-on-month basis, the net CPI dropped 0.1 percent in August after remaining unchanged in July. Economists had forecast a 0.1 percent slump.
Overall CPI declined 0.8 percent annually in August after a 0.9 percent drop in July. ■
