Latvia's producer prices decreased at faster pace in January, figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed.

Both domestic and foreign market producer prices slipped by 2.9 percent and 0.9 percent, respectively in January from a year ago.
Prices in the manufacturing sector slid 1.4 percent, while that for mining and quarrying sector grew by 6.0 percent.
On a monthly basis, producer prices edged down at a stable pace of 0.2 percent at the beginning of the year. It was the second consecutive monthly fall. ■
