India's exports grow 17.57 percent in June

India's exports in June were valued at $27.70 billion, up 17.57 percent year-on-year, said official trade figures.

According to the figures, cumulative value of exports for the period April-June was $82.47 billion, reflecting a positive growth of 14.21 percent over the same period last year.

Non-petroleum and non-gems and jewellery exports last month were valued at $20.13 billion, up 15.13 percent year-on-year.

Non-petroleum and non-gems and jewellery exports during the April-June period were valued at $59.86 billion, an increase of 13.56 percent

Total imports in June were valued at $44.30 billion which was 21.31 percent higher over the level of imports in June 2017.

Cumulative value of imports for the period April-June was 127.41 billion dollars as against $112.26 billion, registering a positive growth of 13.49 percent over the same period last year.

Oil imports in June were valued at $12.73 billion which was 56.61 percent higher compared to that in June 2017. Oil imports during April-June period were valued at $34.64 billion, up 49.44 percent year-on-year.
