Industrial sales in Greece retained their strong momentum, firming 19% y-o-y in May compared to a downwardly revised rise of 10% in April, data from the National Statistics Service or ELSTAT showed.

On a monthly basis, industrial sales declined by 9.1%.
Sales for the domestic market advanced 14.2% while the non-domestic market revenues firmed by 25.2%
Manufacturing sales rose by 18.8 y-o-y while mining and quarrying turnover increased by 31.6%.
However, the increase in both categories was largely due changes in methodology. ■
