German consumer confidence to fall in NovemberStaff Writer | October 27, 2016
German consumer confidence is seen falling to lowest level in six months in November due to a weak outlook on global economic growth.
Germany The lowest level since April
It marks lowest level since April and is the first time the index has reached below the 10-point mark since June.
GfK said the drop in consumer confidence is "a consequence of an external trade environment that has become increasingly difficult".
The market research firm added: "Furthermore, the numerous international trouble spots, some of which have also increased the risk of terrorism for Germany, have probably had a somewhat negative impact on consumer sentiment." ■
