This is also the lowest rate for a November since 1998, according to The Extended National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

In the 12 months through November, the IPCA is at 6.99%, below the 7.87% registered in October.

The 12-month rate still above the upper threshold of the target range for inflation set by the federal government, which is 6.5%, but it’s the lowest since December 2014 (6.41%). From January to November, the IPCA was at 5.97%.
