Brazilian economic activity index up 0.4 percent

The Brazilian compound economic indicator Indicador Antecedente Composto da Economia (Iace) was up 0.4% in November from October.

The Brazilian Institute of Economics of the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (IBRE/FGV) and The Conference Board (TCB) announced that the Iace reached 100.2 points.

Four of the eight components that make up the indicator drove the increase: the Industry Survey Expectation Index, the Terms of Trade Index, the Industrial Production of Durable Consumer Goods Index and the Quantum of Exports.

The Conference Board Leading Economic Index® for Brazil, together with Fundação Getulio Vargas (TCB/FGV Brazil LEI), increased 0.4 percent in November to 100.2 (2010=100).

The Conference Board Coincident Economic Index® for Brazil, together with Fundação Getulio Vargas (TCB/FGV Brazil CEI), increased 0.3 percent in November to 96.6 (2010=100).
