Brazil trade surplus widens 92.4% in July

Brazilian trade surplus increased 92.4 percent year-on-year to $4.58 billion surplus in July of 2016.

Brazilian economy   Exports fell for the second consecutive month
It was the biggest surplus for July month since 2006 while below market expectations of $4.95 billion surplus. Exports fell for the second consecutive month and imports shrank at a faster pace.

Exports declined 11.9 percent year-on-year to $16331 million, following a 14.7 percent drop in June.

Imports went down 27.4 percent year-on-year to $11752 million, 22nd straight month of decrease and also reaching the lowest value for July month since 2009.
