For the six months ended June 30, the world's second-largest brewer by sales made a profit of 950 million euros ($1.11 billion) compared with EUR871 million in the same period a year earlier.

Net revenue rose 4.2% to EUR10.78 billion while net revenue on an organic basis increased 5.6%.

Consolidated beer volume rose 4.5% organically and Heineken brand volume grew 7.5%.

Amsterdam-based Heineken said it expects economic conditions to remain volatile for the rest of 2018 and it assumes a negative currency hit for the year compared with 2017 on revenue and operating profit.

Revenue growth is expected to continue and operating profit growth is forecast to accelerate in the second half on an organic basis.
