Hawaiian Electric Industries posts bigger Q3 profit

Hawaiian Electric Industries (HEI) reported a profit for its third quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.
Hawaiian Electric Industries   Bottom line advanced to $63.3 million
The company said its bottom line advanced to $63.3 million, or $0.58 per share. This was up from $52.4 million, or $0.49 per share, in last year's third quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 9.9% to $646.06 million. This was down from $717.18 million last year.
