Earnings season: POST forecast for Morgan Stanley and CSXStaff Writer | April 19, 2017
The current earnings season continues with the two of the biggest companies in the finance and transportation industries.

Equity and Fixed income, currency and commodity (FICC) trading makes up a large portion of Morgan Stanley revenue. Last quarter, the company's management cited strong sales and trading results, strength in M&A advisory, and positive results in its wealth management business.
We expect that trend to continue and POST forecast is EPS $0.90 and revenue $9.10 billion.
CSX Corp. is seeing favorable activity, which i a precursor to an earnings beat. In the fourth quarter of 2016, the company delivered in line earnings. Earnings improved 2.1% on a year-over-year basis due to lower costs.
Revenues outpaced estimates and that stronger trend should continue. POST forecast is EPS $0.43 and revenue $2.73 billion. ■
