TV stands Flat-screen TV sets offer perfect picture but also something more important: designers now have the possibility to make a TV stand that will look like a piece of art without thinking about some big, gray clunky box.

Link 1 TV Com.p.arCom.p.ar is not a name you hear every day but that's an Italian company, so the design must be excellent. And it is. The wall hanging Link 1 TV is wonderful modern showcase for your new LCD flat-screen TV. This cool stand is made of lacquered wood with eight side shelves to store movies, electronics and accessories out of sight, leaving your new electronics clean and clutter-free. This stand is ideal for small urban apartments because it opens up space for living by taking the TV off the floor.

TeatronuovoThe problem with traditional TV stand is it can draw too much attention to itself and that makes your beautiful room in the shadow. But the new Teatronuovo Swivel Stand solves that problem: it is totally unobtrusive and by the way it's piece of art. The nice frame effect of the extra-clear tempered glass doesn’t detract from the TV screen but complements it in one of several neutral colours. You can choose black, white or silver bronze which gives a mirror effect.

VirgolaThe Virgola modern TV stand from Doimoidea looks beautiful and keeps your entertainment area well-organised. It is a swivel wall/TV unit that has a sweeping glass panel mounted on a metal frame. You can select that TV stand in either a plain lacquered finish or with the addition of a screen printed pattern. Your TV is mounted in the centre of the glass panel, and at the back side of this modern stand are shelves designed to house your DVD collection.

Gruber SchlagerAnd now something very clever for those of you who like to work at home. Almost every home office suffers from lack of space but Gruber Schlager solves that problem with the TV-Office wall unit. This is a flexible design that combines a TV wall unit and a compact office space. The free-standing design rotates on a single metal leg, and on one side of the wall unit features a fold down desktop, perfect for a laptop. At the end of the work day, the unit can be turned 180 degrees to reveal a large flat panel television. Nice!

PoradaAnd now my favourite! The Porada TV stand offers the flexibility to adjust your TV to the perfect viewing angle. Centred on a single metal pole, the wooden veneer panel rotates around a single point, and the smooth wood surface adds warm texture to your room. The stand featuring three glass shelves perfect for media players and artistic pieces, while the side alcoves provide storage for DVDs and CDs. Mixing wood, glass, metal and technology creates a unit that balances natural elements with modern touch.
