When a company cares about nature, that's commendable. When it starts with those principles in mind and create something beautiful, it's surely worth out attention.

SoliosSolios of Canada is a company that wanted to create a small accessory with a big impact and they spent a lot of time on it, and the result is great. They wanted every component of a Solios watch to be carefully curated with earth in mind. They opted for a solar powered movement, which may seem as an obvious idea, but then again electricity is "obvious" now when we have it. That decision has consequenced that we value: no more battery replacement, no more planned obsolescence, and no more maintenance.

SoliosThe Solios team has a long time trying to find the best materials which would last for decades to come. Materials so durable that you wouldn't consider throwing away your watch because of its components or aesthetics. Solios watches have an invisible solar panel under the dial which does all of the work. Thanks to that panel, your Solios can last for a lifetime. But it gets better: Solios solar cell holds a power reserve of 6 months after sitting under the sun or artificial light for 2 hours. That means you can let your watch sit in a drawer for a few days without worrying.

SoliosAnd after better, there's even more better: Solios solar technology works with light, under the sun or neon lights, it doesn't matter. There's no maintenance, so that means no worries. Solios is a Certified B Corporations wich means they are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. Their watches are made of recycled stainless steel certified in laboratories, and that's a good news: you don't have to worry about possible allergical reactions since they are very rare with stainless steel.

SoliosThere's no plastic in Solios packaging, they use eco colors, eco leather from Switzerland, and packaging handmade in Montreal with 100% recycled and recyclable paper sourced from a local supplier in Quebec, powered by 100% renewable energy. On top of that, their watches are minimalistic, luxurious looking pieces that stands shoulder to shoulder with best Swiss watches. They are timeless pieces for women and men, very elegant, and you'd though they cost ten times more than the actually do. Solios products are proof that beautiful design goes hand in hand with ecology.
