The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) Ministry of Communications and Information in Singapore said that StarHub was fined 210,000 SGD (about 153,836 USD) for broadband service disruptions in April, and M1 given a penalty of 400,000 SGD for similar disruptions the next month.

Some 250,000 subscribers were affected by the StarHub incident, which could have been prevented if StarHub had better supervised its staff, said the IMDA. ■
